Arkansas Community Organization for Reform Now [ACORN] announced the candidates for state, district and Pulaski County offices for the coming election in May 1984. Elena Hanggi and Reba Whipple were both spokeswomen for ACORN. Thedford Collins was a candidate for the 2nd Congressional District seat. Nathan Dendy was running for District Justice of the Peace. Bill Clinton, candidate for re-election to the office of Governor, was represented by Rodney Slater, deputy campaign manager.
